UNIABUJA Top-Up/Degree Upgrader Admission Form 2025
The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has opened its doors for the 2025/2026 Degree Upgrading Programme—an opportunity for people holding HNDs or first degrees with a third-class or pass to earn a more competitive qualification.
This programme, overseen by the Centre for Distance Learning and Continuing Education (CDLCE), offers a second chance for academic and professional advancement.
Who Can Apply?
This programme is specifically designed for:
- HND holders with a Lower Credit or higher.
- University graduates with a Third-Class or Pass degree.
- Applicants must have graduated from recognized institutions.
Additionally, candidates must meet at least one of the following academic qualifications:
- A minimum of five O’Level credits, including English and Mathematics.
- Two A-Level passes with five O’Level credits.
- National Diploma (ND) or NCE with at least 10 points.
- IJMB with a minimum of 10 points and relevant credit passes.

How to Apply for UNIABUJA Degree Top-Up 2025
Here’s a step-by-step breakdown to guide you through the process:
- Visit the UNIABUJA application portal at
https://portal.uniabuja.edu.ng - Select “Application Access” and choose “Bachelor’s Degree Upgrade” or click here directly.
- Fill in your personal details:
- Surname
- First Name
- Other Names
- Phone Number
- Click Next to proceed to the payment page.
- Generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) and click Make Payment.
- Use a valid MasterCard or Visa Card to complete the ₦20,000 payment (excluding service charges).
- After payment, the portal redirects you. You’ll see your application number on-screen and also receive it via SMS.
- Log out, then go back to the portal’s login page.
- Log in using your application number and surname.
- Complete and submit your application.
Important Deadline
- Application Closes: Friday, 13th June 2025
No extensions. No late applications. Once the portal closes, that’s it.
