Undergraduate Admission Requirements

Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Entry

  • O’Level Requirements: Minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
  • UTME Requirements:
    • Subject Combination: English Language plus three other subjects relevant to the chosen course.
    • Minimum UTME Score: As determined by the university.
    • Age Requirement: Candidates must be at least 16 years old at the time of admission.

Direct Entry (200-Level Admission)

  • O’Level Requirements: Minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
  • Additional Qualifications:
    • Advanced Level Passes: At least two (2) passes in GCE, IJMB, or JUPEB in subjects relevant to the chosen course.
    • Diploma: National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a related field from a recognized institution.
    • Professional Qualifications: Relevant professional qualifications may also be considered.

Pre-Degree/IJMB/JUPEB Programmes

  • O’Level Requirements: Minimum of five (5) credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.

    • IJMB: Interim Joint Matriculation Board.
    • JUPEB: Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board.

Postgraduate Admission Requirements

1. Master of Science (M.Sc.) Programmes

  • Bachelor’s Degree: At least a Second Class Lower Division (2:2) in a relevant field from a recognized university.
  • Postgraduate Diploma (PGD): Candidates with a PGD in a related discipline with a minimum of Upper Credit may also be considered.

2. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Programmes
