The College of Postgraduate Studies at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has announced the schedule for its postgraduate orientation programme for the 2024/2025 academic session.
This event is designed for all newly admitted postgraduate students across the university’s Nsukka and Enugu campuses.
Purpose of UNN Orientation Programme
The orientation programme aims to familiarize postgraduate students with the university’s structure, policies, and academic standards. It is a proactive initiative to promote excellence and ethical behavior among students, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.

- 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: Keynote Address: Research and Societal Challenges by Prof. Uzo Okoye
- 12:00 p.m. – 12:20 p.m.: Presentation: Skill Acquisition as a Solution to Unemployment by Prof. (Mrs) A. I. C. Ezeibe
- 12:20 p.m. – 12:40 p.m.: Insights into library resources for research by Dr. (Mrs) Promise Ilo
- 12:40 p.m. – 01:00 p.m.: Discussion on ICT tools for research, led by Mr. Paul Oranu
- 01:00 p.m. – 01:20 p.m.: Talk by the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Boniface O. Ugwuishiwu, on fostering an enabling environment
