The University of Ilesa (UNILESA) has opened applications for the 2025/2026 Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) admission.
If you’re looking to secure a direct entry slot into 200 level at UNILESA or any participating university in Nigeria and abroad, this is your chance.
What is the JUPEB Programme?
JUPEB is a one-year intensive academic programme designed as an alternative route into university.
It provides students with a smooth pathway to gain Direct Entry Admission into the second year (200 level) of undergraduate studies, skipping the usual UTME route.
After completing the programme and passing the exams, candidates can apply for Direct Entry admission into their desired course.
UNILESA’s JUPEB centre runs this programme over two semesters, offering lectures and assessments similar to a typical first-year university experience.

Below is a breakdown of faculties and the subjects students can choose from depending on their desired course of study:
Faculty of Sciences & Health Sciences
- Biology / Physics or Mathematics / Chemistry
- Physics / Mathematics / Chemistry or Biology
- Physics / Biology / Chemistry (for Nursing)
Faculty of Computing & Technology
- Maths / Physics / Chemistry
- Maths / Physics / Economics
- Maths / Geography / Biology
Faculty of Social & Management Sciences
- Government / Economics / any other relevant subject
- Geography / two of: Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics
- History / and two from Social Sciences or Arts
Faculty of Law & Arts
- Literature / Economics / another Arts-related subject
Each subject combination is tailored to fit the requirements of related degree programmes.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for admission, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- A minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes, in relevant subjects, obtained in not more than two sittings.
- Candidates who are awaiting their O’Level results may also apply using the “Awaiting Result” status during registration.
Application Process
Follow the steps below to apply for the 2025 JUPEB programme at UNILESA:
- Visit the official application portal:
https://admissions.unilesa.edu.ng/home - Make a non-refundable payment of ₦20,000.00 for the application form using an ATM card enabled for online payments.
- Fill out the online application form carefully. Incomplete forms will not be processed.
- Alternatively, forms are available at the University Admissions Office for applicants who prefer an in-person option.
- Deadline for submission is 31st August 2025. Don’t wait till the last minute.
