Admission Requirements

General Requirements

To qualify for admission, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Academic Qualifications:
   • A minimum of five (5) credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in WASC, NECO, or GCE, obtained in no more than two sittings.
   • A Bachelor’s degree with at least a Second-Class Lower Division for Master’s programmes.
2. PhD Programmes:
   • A Master’s degree with a weighted average score of 60% (Grade B) or higher.
3. PGD Programmes:
   • Candidates with a Third-Class degree or HND must have a Lower Credit classification.

Specific Requirements

Some programmes require additional qualifications:

• For MPH in Community Medicine, applicants must have an MBBS or BDS.
• For MPH in Sexual and Reproductive Health, a health-related degree is mandatory.
• PhD applicants must submit a 500-word research proposal.

1. Visit the UNIABUJA Portal
   Go to the university’s portal and select the “Postgraduate” option. Enter your details, including your surname, first name, email address, and phone number.
2. Generate Payment Code
   Create a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code and pay the application fee of ₦20,500 through the REMITA platform.
3. Complete the Application
   After payment, return to the portal and fill out the application form. Upload all required documents, including:
   • Academic credentials.
   • A completed Transcript Request Form (Form A2), available on the portal.
4. Submit Transcripts
