Admission Requirements
To qualify for admission, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- General Requirements:
- A minimum of five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, at O Level in no more than two sittings.
- Doctorate Programme:
- Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Petroleum and Energy Economics or an equivalent qualification.
- Masters Programme:
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least a Second Class Lower Division or equivalent from a recognised institution.
- A Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Petroleum and Energy Economics may also be considered.
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD):
- A minimum of a Third Class Bachelor’s degree or a Higher National Diploma (HND) with Lower Credit or equivalent is required.
- National Youth Service Corps (NYSC):
- All applicants must provide an NYSC discharge certificate or an exemption letter.
Programme Duration
The duration of each programme varies based on the mode of study:
Professional Doctorate Degree
- Full-Time: Minimum of 36 months
- Part-Time: Minimum of 42 months
Masters and MSc Degrees
- Full-Time: Minimum of three semesters, maximum of six semesters
- Part-Time: Minimum of six semesters, maximum of eight semesters
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
- Full-Time: Minimum of two semesters, maximum of four semesters
- Part-Time: Minimum of four semesters, maximum of six semesters
