The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has announced the commencement of admissions into the Sultan Maccido Institute for Peace, Leadership & Development Studies for the 2025 academic session.

Admission Requirements
General Requirements:
To be eligible for any of the above programmes, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Possess at least five (5) credit passes, including English and Mathematics, in WASC/NECO/GCE or an equivalent qualification, obtained in no more than two sittings.
Programme-Specific Requirements:
- Postgraduate Diploma: A Bachelor’s degree in any field, not lower than a Second Class Lower, OR a minimum of Lower Credit in an HND from a recognized institution.
- Master’s Degree: A Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field with a minimum of Second Class Lower.
- Professional PhD: Applicants must meet the university’s matriculation requirements and hold a Bachelor’s degree, a professional Master’s degree, and an MSc in a relevant discipline.
Screening Exercise:
All candidates will undergo a screening process to assess their eligibility for their chosen programme.
Programme Duration
- Postgraduate Diploma: 18 months
- Master’s Degree: 18 months
- Professional PhD: 3 years
- Certificate Courses: Duration varies by course requirements
