The University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, has released the admission form for its 2025/2026 academic session into the School of Health Information Management (SHIM).

Available Programmes

UCH’s SHIM is offering two major programmes:

• National Diploma (ND) – A two-year non-residential course starting in September 2025.
• Higher National Diploma (HND) – Another two-year advanced track for those already holding a diploma in the field.

Who Can Apply?

ND Applicants

To be eligible for the National Diploma, candidates must:

• Score 150 or above in the 2025 UTME.
• Have five credits in not more than two sittings in any of the following examinations: SSCE, WAEC, GCE, or NECO. All credits must come from one examination body and include:
  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology

HND Applicants

Applicants for the Higher National Diploma must be prepared to present original copies of the following documents:

• O’Level results
• National or Professional Diploma in Health Information Management
• Valid license certificate
• Letter confirming completion of Industrial Training (IT)

ND Candidates

Your Computer-Based Test (CBT) will cover:

• English Language
• Mathematics

HND Candidates

How to Apply for the UCH SHIM Admission

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you through the process:

1. Visit the portal: Go to UCH Schools Portal
2. Make payment via REMITA: Click on the REMITA PAYMENT option and complete your payment.
3. Sign Up: Use your RRR, email, and password from the payment step to register.
4. Log In: Use your credentials to access the application dashboard.
5. Download the Applicant’s User Guide from the portal and follow the instructions.
6. Complete and submit your application online.
7. Print two copies of your application form and photocard. You’ll need these at the examination venue.
8. Make an additional payment of ₦500 to the Health Information Managers Association of Nigeria at Union Bank (Acct No: 0000207307, UCH Branch).
