Rhema University Nigeria Opens Postgraduate Admission For 2024/2025

Rhema University, Nigeria, is now accepting applications for its postgraduate programmes for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Admission Requirements

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

Candidates seeking admission into the Postgraduate Diploma programme must meet the following criteria:

• Five credit passes including English and Mathematics at O’ Level, not exceeding two sittings.
• A Bachelor’s degree with at least a third-class in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
• Alternatively, an HND with a minimum upper credit in relevant programmes. For unclassified HNDs, a CGPA of 3.50/5.00 or 60% is acceptable.

Master’s Degree (M.Sc.)

To qualify for the Master’s programme, candidates must have:

• A Bachelor’s degree with at least a second class lower division (CGPA of 3.00/5.00).
• A Postgraduate Diploma from a recognized university.
• Other equivalent qualifications acceptable by the University Senate.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

For Ph.D. programmes, applicants should possess:

• A Master’s degree in the relevant field with a minimum score of 60%.
• Alternatively, an M.Phil. in the relevant discipline.

Concept Note Submission

Applicants for the Master’s and Ph.D. programmes must submit a Concept Note as part of their application, covering the following:

• Background of Study
• Problem Statement
• Study Relevance (to the applicant and society)
• Objectives
• Justification
• Methodology

The Concept Note should be one page for Master’s programmes and two pages for Ph.D. programmes. Failure to submit this may result in disqualification from the oral interview.

Programme Duration

• Postgraduate Diploma: Minimum of two semesters, maximum of four.
• Master’s Degree: Minimum of three semesters, maximum of five.
• Ph.D.: Minimum of six semesters, maximum of eight.

Prospective candidates can obtain the application form either from Rhema University’s Postgraduate School or online via the Rhema University Official Website. Completed forms should be submitted to the Office of the Registrar.

Referee’s Report

Candidates are required to download three Referee’s Report Forms from the university’s website. Two referees should be former academic mentors, while the third must vouch for the applicant’s character and integrity. All forms must be sent confidentially to:

• Concept Note (for Master’s and Ph.D. candidates)
