NUC Approves 24 New Courses For Bingham University
Bingham University has achieved a significant milestone as the National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved all 24 academic programmes presented for resource verification.
This development signals a new chapter in the institution’s commitment to academic excellence.
The approval encompasses six undergraduate and 18 postgraduate programmes, following a meticulous resource verification exercise conducted by the NUC between November and December 2024.
Launch of New Programmes for the 2024/2025 Academic Year
The newly approved programmes are set to commence in the 2024/2025 academic session, paving the way for increased academic offerings at the university.
With this addition, Bingham University now boasts 46 undergraduate and 58 postgraduate programmes, further solidifying its reputation as a hub of academic innovation.

New Postgraduate Programmes
The postgraduate programmes approved for the upcoming academic session are:
- Ph.D. Architecture
- M.Sc. and Ph.D. Computer Science
- PGD, M.Sc., and Ph.D. Mathematics
- PGD, M.Sc., and Ph.D. Physics
- PGD, M.Sc., and Ph.D. Political Science
- PGD, M.Sc., and Ph.D. Sociology
- PGD, M.Sc. Entrepreneurship, and Masters in Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Details of NUC Approval
The NUC’s endorsement was conveyed in a formal letter signed by Abubakar M. Gire, the Acting Director of Academic Planning for Programme Accreditation.
The letter, addressed to Bingham University’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Haruna Kuje Ayuba, confirmed the approval of all proposed programmes.
