
National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) 14th Convocation Ceremony 2025
The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has scheduled its 14th Convocation Ceremony to take place on April 11-12, 2025.
This milestone event will be conducted both on-site at the Convocation Arena, Jabi, Abuja, and off-site at designated study centres across Nigeria for other graduates.
What to Expect
During the convocation, deserving graduands will be conferred with their degrees in recognition of their academic achievements.

1. Convocation Lecture
- Date: Friday, April 11, 2025
- Time: 11:00 AM
- Venue: Conference Centre, NOUN, Jabi, Abuja
- Guest Speaker: Dr. Akinwumi A. Adesina, President of the African Development Bank (AfDB)
- Topic: Advancing Africa’s Positioning within Global Development and Geopolitical Dynamics
2. Convocation Ceremony
- Date: Saturday, April 12, 2025
- Time: 10:00 AM
- Venue: Convocation Arena, NOUN, Jabi, Abuja
Attendance Guidelines
On-Site Ceremony (Convocation Arena, Abuja)
The following categories of graduands are required to attend the main convocation event in Abuja:
- First-class graduates
- First-degree graduates from Federal Capital Territory (FCT) study centres
- Postgraduate diploma (PGD) recipients
- Master’s degree recipients
- Doctorate degree recipients
- Award winners
- Honorary doctorate recipients
Off-Site Ceremony (Study Centres Nationwide)
Graduands from other study centres across Nigeria will participate in the ceremony at their respective state capital study centres.
Important Instructions for Attendees
- Graduands attending the on-site convocation in Abuja must be seated by 9:00 AM to ensure a smooth flow of the ceremony.
- For off-site graduands, further details regarding venue logistics will be provided by their respective study centres.
