Mastercard Foundation Scholarship At Arizona State University 2025
The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Arizona State University (ASU) is offering an exceptional opportunity for African students to pursue graduate studies.
From 2025 to 2030, the initiative will award a total of 160 scholarships, allowing selected scholars to earn their master’s degrees online, with additional in-person academic support provided by Kepler College in Rwanda.
This scholarship is designed for students who are passionate about academic excellence, leadership, and community engagement, providing them with the tools and knowledge to drive meaningful change in their communities.
Available Graduate Programmes
For the Fall 2025 intake, 40 scholars will be selected to enroll in one of the following online master’s programmes at ASU:
1. College of Global Futures
- M.S. in Global Technology and Development
2. W.P. Carey School of Business
- M.S. in Business Analytics
3. Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College
- M.Ed. in Learning Design and Technologies
4. Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering
- M.S. in Information Technology
- M.S.E. in Sustainable Engineering
These programmes focus on equipping scholars with cutting-edge skills to tackle real-world challenges and contribute to economic and social development in Africa.
Scholarship Benefits
Recipients of this prestigious scholarship will receive:
✅ Full Tuition Coverage – The programme covers the entire cost of tuition for two years.
✅ In-Person Learning Support – Scholars will receive academic guidance and mentorship at Kepler College in Rwanda.
✅ On-Campus Residency – Accommodation will be provided during required in-person sessions.
✅ Leadership Development & Mentorship – Scholars will participate in personalized mentorship and leadership training.
✅ Summer Intensive at ASU – A two-month summer residency at ASU in the United States between the first and second year of the programme.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for this life-changing opportunity, applicants must:
✔️ Meet academic and English language requirements.
✔️ Be a citizen of an African country, dedicated to ethical leadership and community service.
✔️ Be between 18 and 33 years old at the time of application.
✔️ Have completed their undergraduate degree by July 2025.
✔️ Not have started or completed any graduate programme before August 2025.
✔️ Be willing to reside in Kigali, Rwanda, for the programme duration.
