Kano State Polytechnic has outlined the detailed steps for Basic and Remedial students to finalize their registration for the 2024/2025 academic session.

This process involves admission confirmation, payment of fees, screening, and final documentation. Below is a step-by-step breakdown to help students navigate the process seamlessly.

Step-by-Step Registration Process

Step 1: Confirm Your Admission

  • Log in to your account using the portal provided by the Polytechnic.
  • Accept or reject the admission offer based on your decision.

Step 2: Make Initial Payments

Before printing your admission letter, you need to pay the following fees:

  • Admission Acceptance Fee: ₦5,000
  • Student Handbook Fee: ₦2,000

Step 3: Screening at the School of Basic and Remedial Studies

  • Go to the School of Basic and Remedial Studies located at Sheik Ja’afar Mahmud Adam Road (Dorayi Road).
  • Present all necessary documents for screening.
  • Ensure your admission letter is signed and stamped by the screening officer.

Step 4: Indigene Screening

  • Visit the Student Affairs Officer for the indigene screening process.
  • The officer will verify your status and indicate it on your record.

Step 5: Submit for Payment Upload

  • Provide a copy of your signed admission letter to the MIS Officer for payment upload to your profile.

Step 6: Complete Online Registration

Log back into the student portal to complete these steps:

  1. Pay the Central Registration Fee.
  2. Print out the following documents:
    • Payment Receipts
    • Course Registration Form (CRF)
    • Student Examination Card

Step 7: Payment Authentication

  • Take your payment receipts to the Bursary Department at Central Administration for authentication.

Step 8: Pay for Your ID Card

  • Proceed to the Consultancy Unit at Central Administration to pay the fee for your student ID card.

Step 9: Final Documentation

  • Head to your department for the final documentation process.
  • Bring along the following:
    • Photocopies of all required credentials.
    • Two recent passport-sized photographs.
