Kaduna State Reopens Registration Portal for 2025 BECE and BAICE

The Kaduna State Schools Quality Assurance Authority (KSSQAA) has extended the final window for registering candidates for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the Basic Arabic & Islamic Certificate Examination (BAICE).

This update is especially directed at private school owners, parents, and guardians with eligible students yet to complete their registration.

Extended Registration Schedule

The portal for purchasing registration PINs will reopen on April 28, 2025, and shut down for good on May 5, 2025.

This extension is the last opportunity for registration—no further deadlines will be granted.

What Private and Public Schools Must Do

All schools—whether public or private—must ensure that students’ bio-data is correctly entered and updated before the cut-off.

The bio-data update portal will also close on May 5, 2025, alongside PIN purchases.

To Update or Correct Student Details:

1. Go to https://kssqaa.org
2. Choose “Examination” and log in to your school’s dashboard.
3. Click Students Management > Students
4. Pick the exam year and type
5. Locate the student and click View, then select Edit Info

Registration Methods: Online and Offline

1. Online Registration Process:

• Visit the portal: https://kssqaa.org
• Go to the “Examinations” section and select BECE > Private
• Log in using last year’s Username and Password
• Pay ₦5,000 per candidate (covers Certificate and PIN)
• Access the Continuous Assessment Section (C.A.S) to input or view C.A. scores
• Edit subjects or personal information before the portal closes

2. Offline Registration Option:

• Install the offline app from the Guidelines section on the portal
• Use the sidebar menu to access the offline version
• Make sure the number of PINs requested online equals the number of students entered offline
• If more students are added offline, purchase additional PINs before syncing data back online

After Registration – What’s Next?

Once registration wraps up:

• You’ll be able to download student photo albums and examination cards (Download date to be announced via the portal under the “Calendar” section)
• Follow instructions under Guidelines for every step of the post-registration process
• Use the Gazette Request tool to apply for official documentation after results are released
