Kaduna College of Nursing & Midwifery Opens NELFUND Application For ND Nursing Students

The Kaduna State College of Nursing and Midwifery has opened the application process for the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), specifically targeting ND Nursing students for the 2023/2024 academic session.

What’s This All About?

If you’re an ND Nursing student enrolled at any of the three campuses, here’s some good news — you can now apply for the Federal Government-backed student loan provided by NELFUND.

This initiative is designed to make your academic journey smoother by covering your school fees and providing a monthly stipend.

But before you jump in, it’s important to understand one thing:
This is a loan — not a grant.
Once you graduate and land a job, repayment becomes part of the deal.

Who Can Apply?

Only students in the ND Nursing programme who had earlier submitted their personal and academic information to the Head of Department (HOD) are eligible at this stage.

If you missed that step, or if your data was incorrect, you’ll need to update or re-submit your details immediately to get onboarded on the NELFUND platform.

Required Information for Onboarding:

Before heading to the portal, make sure the following details are accurate and up to date with your HOD’s office:

  • Full Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • State and Local Government Area (LGA)
  • JAMB Registration Number
  • National Identification Number (NIN)
  • Student Registration Number
  • Valid Phone Number & Email Address

Any missing or wrong detail might block your access to the loan application process.

Where to Apply

Ready to get started? Visit the official NELFUND website at https://nelf.gov.ng to submit your application.

If you run into issues or have questions, don’t hesitate to check in with your HOD’s office or stop by the ICT unit for guidance. You can also read the full update directly from the college via this link.

This student loan offers a lifeline for many who need financial support, but it comes with responsibilities. Be sure you understand the terms and stay on top of the requirements. Education is expensive, but with this step, the burden could get a little lighter.
