JAMB 2025 UTME & Direct Entry Form – Registration, Requirements, Fees & Key Details
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the registration details for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE).
If you plan to sit for the exam, here’s everything you need to know—from eligibility criteria to registration deadlines and examination guidelines.
Who Is Eligible to Apply?
- Candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2025.
- Those younger than 16 can only be considered if JAMB declares them exceptionally brilliant—a status granted only if they score 80% or higher in UTME/A-Level, PUTME, SSC, and a separate exceptional candidate test.

Registration Fees & Payment Breakdown
JAMB operates a cashless registration system to prevent candidate exploitation. All fees are centrally collected and remitted weekly.

General Admission Requirements
100-Level (UTME) Admission
- A minimum of five (5) O’Level credits, including English Language.
- For Law, Science, and Social Science courses, a credit in Mathematics is also required.
Direct Entry (DE) Admission
- Minimum of five (5) O’Level credits (max two sittings).
- At least two subjects must be at Principal/Advanced Level for A-Level candidates.
Accepted DE Qualifications:
- University Degree
- University Diploma (NFLD/NALD)
- ND/NID, HND, NCE
- A-Level Certificates: IJMB, JUPEB, NABTEB-ANBC, NABTEB-ANTC, NABTEB-GCE A-Level (2015-2021)
- Foreign First Degree, Cambridge A-Level, International GCE A-Level, International Baccalaureate

Vital Rules for DE Registration
Uploading of Results
- Non-Awaiting Results Candidates: Upload all results at registration.
- Awaiting A-Level Results: Provide your Admission Letter & Registration Template during registration.
- Cambridge Certificates (pre-2020): Must be verified directly with Cambridge (takes up to 28 days).
Upgrading from UTME to DE
- Candidates who initially register for UTME can later upgrade to DE (if awaiting A-Level results).
Checking DE Admission Status
- Status can be checked on JAMB e-Facility Portal:
- ✅ CLEARED – Successfully verified
- ❌ NOT CLEARED – With reason for disqualification
Step-by-Step Guide to JAMB Registration
1. JAMB Profile Creation
A. Unique Phone Number Requirement
- Each candidate must use one unique phone number (SIM) for all JAMB transactions.
- This number remains tied to the candidate permanently.
B. Sending NIN via SMS
- Send NIN [Your 11-digit NIN] via SMS to 55019 or 66019 from your personal phone.
- Example: NIN 00123456789
- Profile Code will be sent via SMS.
⚠ Do NOT use special bundle SIMs or post-paid lines!
2. Buying the e-PIN & Completing Registration
- Purchase the e-PIN at banks, mobile money operators (MMOs), microfinance banks (MFBs), and JAMB partners.
- Present the Profile Code when purchasing.
- Visit a JAMB-accredited CBT centre to complete registration.
✅ Registration is NOT complete until:
- Biometric data (fingerprint & photo) is captured.
- e-Registration Slip is printed using fingerprint verification.

📍 Exam Venue: Any centre within the chosen town at registration.

- JAMB does NOT assign candidates outside their selected towns.

🔹 For candidates who want to test the CBT system before the main exam.
Special Considerations for PWDs (Persons with Disabilities)
- Blind candidates must choose between Braille, Recorded Exam, or Read-Aloud Format.
- Deaf candidates have a dedicated identification system.
- Other PWD categories include Albinism, Down Syndrome, Autism, Dyslexia, ADHD, Paralysis, and Cerebral Palsy.

Exam Security & Prohibited Items
🚫 Banned in Exam Centres:

- Smart devices

Admission Legitimacy & CAPS
- All valid admissions MUST be processed through JAMB’s CAPS (Central Admissions Processing System).
- Any admission outside CAPS is ILLEGAL and VOID.
- Institutions CANNOT offer valid admission without JAMB’s approval.
