Federal University of Lafia (FULAFIA) Postgraduate Supplementary Admission Form 2023/2024
The Federal University of Lafia (FULAFIA) has begun the sale of supplementary postgraduate admission forms for the 2023/2024 academic year.
This opportunity is available for candidates interested in both online and regular onsite programmes offered through the College of Postgraduate Studies.
FULAFIA Admission Requirements
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
To qualify for the PGD programmes, applicants must:
- Meet the university’s standard matriculation requirements.
- Hold at least an Honours degree from FULAFIA or any recognised institution.
- Have a Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of an upper credit in a relevant field.
- Candidates with lower credit in their HND must have at least five years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- Other qualifications acceptable to the Board and Senate may also be considered, with or without work experience.
Master’s Programmes (M.A., MFA, M.Sc.)
Eligibility criteria for Master’s programmes include:
- A Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.Sc.) in a relevant discipline from a recognised university.
- A minimum CGPA of 3.0 or a Second Class Lower Division.
- For specific programmes like History and International Studies, a CGPA of 2.50 or at least a 50% score is acceptable.
M.Phil./Ph.D. Programmes
Applicants for M.Phil. or Ph.D. programmes must meet the following requirements:
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field from a recognised institution.
- A minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a five-point scale or an average score of 55%.
Professional Degrees
Candidates with professional qualifications and relevant experience in their chosen field of study may also be considered.
Important Details for Applicants
- Qualifying Examination: All applicants will undergo a screening test, with details sent via email and SMS.
- Transcripts: Applicants must download the Transcript Request Form and ensure their academic transcripts are sent to the Secretary, College of Postgraduate Studies, FULAFIA.
- Application Dates: The sale of forms begins on Monday, 25th November 2024, and ends on Sunday, 22nd December 2024.
