Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) Academic Calendar For 2024/2025 Session

The Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) has released its academic calendar for the 2024/2025 session.

This detailed schedule outlines the key academic activities for undergraduate students, ensuring a well-organized timeline for both UG I and UG II categories.

First Semester

• Registration for Fresh Students:
  Begins on Monday, 25th November 2024, and runs through Saturday, 7th December 2024 (2 weeks).
• Lectures:
  Classes will commence on Monday, 9th December 2024, and continue until Saturday, 15th February 2025 (10 weeks).
• Submission of Continuous Assessment Results:
  Departments will submit and release CA results between Monday, 10th February 2025, and Friday, 14th February 2025 (1 week).
• Examinations:
  Exams are scheduled from Monday, 17th February 2025, to Saturday, 1st March 2025 (2 weeks).
• Semester Break and Result Compilation:
  A one-week break from Monday, 3rd March 2025, to Sunday, 9th March 2025, during which departments and faculties will compile results.
• Approval of Results:
  Results will be reviewed and approved by the Senate on Thursday, 20th March 2025.
• Add/Drop Period:
  Students can make changes to their course registration between Monday, 26th January 2025, and Monday, 3rd February 2025 (1 week).

Second Semester

• Lectures:
  Classes for the second semester will begin on Monday, 10th March 2025, and end on Saturday, 17th May 2025 (10 weeks).
• Submission of Continuous Assessment Results:
  Results will be submitted and released from Monday, 12th May 2025, to Friday, 16th May 2025 (1 week).
• Examinations:
  Semester exams are set for Monday, 19th May 2025, through Saturday, 31st May 2025 (2 weeks).
• End-of-Session Break and Result Compilation:
  Students and staff will observe a break while results are compiled and marked between Monday, 2nd June 2025, and Sunday, 22nd June 2025 (3 weeks).
• Faculty Board Consideration of Results:
  Results will be reviewed by faculty boards from Monday, 16th June 2025, to Friday, 20th June 2025 (1 week).
• Approval of Results:
  The Senate will give final approval on Thursday, 26th June 2025.
• Add/Drop Period:
  Students will have an additional opportunity to adjust their registrations between Monday, 14th April 2025, and Monday, 21st April 2025 (1 week).

Start of the 2024/2025 Academic Session

The next academic session is set to kick off on Monday, 23rd June 2025.
