Do You Qualify? Here’s What You Need to Apply

Before you dive into the application, check that you meet the basic entry requirements:

Admission Through JAMB

You must have been admitted for your ND through JAMB. If your ND programme wasn’t listed on the JAMB portal, you’re not eligible.

National Diploma Certificate

A valid ND certificate from Auchi Polytechnic or any recognized institution is required — in the same course or a related one you’re applying for.

O’Level Requirements

You need:

• Five credits in one sitting, or
• Six credits over two sittings

These must include English and Mathematics, from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB.

Additional course-specific subject requirements include:

• Mass Communication: Must have credit in Literature in English
• Accountancy & Business Administration: Must have credit in Economics or Commerce
• Estate Management & Urban Planning: Credit in Geography or Economics

Work Experience & Transcripts

• If you graduated with a pass in your ND, you need two years of work experience.
• With a regular grade, one year of post-ND experience is enough.
• ND holders from institutions other than Auchi Polytechnic must submit their academic transcripts for their application to be processed.

How to Apply for Auchi Polytechnic HND Admission

Here’s a step-by-step breakdown to help you apply the right way:

Step 1: Pay the Application Fee

• The cost is ₦20,000
• Only pay through the Remita platform linked from the official portal
• Avoid third-party or unofficial sites

Step 2: Start the Online Application

• Visit auchipoly.edu.ng
• Click on “Apply for 2025/2026 HND Admission”
• Choose your programme: Morning, Evening, or Regular Degree
• Create your profile (use your phone number as username, and set a strong password)
• Generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) and make payment at any bank or online
• After paying, wait a few hours for confirmation before logging back in

Step 3: Complete the Forms & Upload Documents

• Log back into the portal
• Fill out the form carefully
• Upload all required documents
• Print the following:
  • One acknowledgement slip
  • Two copies of the application form
  • One application summary page
• Prepare two sets of the following:
  • Photocopies of your credentials
  • Birth certificate
  • Two passport photos
  • Remita e-receipt
