Apply for the NNPC/OERNL Joint Venture Tertiary Scholarship Scheme 2025
Applications are now open for the 2025/2026 NNPC/OERNL Joint Venture Tertiary Scholarship Scheme, designed to support full-time undergraduate students in Nigeria.
This initiative provides financial assistance to deserving students pursuing higher education in Nigerian institutions.
Types of Scholarships
The program offers two distinct categories of awards:
- Host/Transit Communities Merit Award – Reserved for students who hail from OANDO’s host or transit communities.
- National Merit Award – Open to students from other regions across Nigeria.
Who Can Apply?
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a 100-level full-time undergraduate in a recognized Nigerian tertiary institution.
- Be currently enrolled in school at the time of application.
Who Is Not Eligible?
Applicants should not apply if any of the following conditions apply:
- You are in 200 level or above.
- You are already receiving financial aid from a similar scholarship program.
- You are a dependent or relative of an OANDO staff member.
Choosing the Right Scholarship Category
Make sure to apply under the correct category based on your state of origin and field of study:
- Host/Transit Merit Award – Only open to indigenes from host or transit communities in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, and Imo States.
- National Merit Award – Only available to students pursuing degrees in Engineering, Geology, Geosciences, or Agricultural Sciences.
Required Documents
Applicants must upload clear scanned copies of the following documents:
- Recent passport photograph (White background, taken within the last six months, 450px by 450px, max size: 200KB)
- School ID card
- O’level results
- University admission letter
- Birth certificate
- Proof of Local Government Area of Origin
- Letter from community paramount ruler (For Host/Transit applicants only)
- Letter from CDC chairman (For Host/Transit applicants only)
- JAMB result slip
