Confirming Your Admission Through JAMB CAPS
Once you’ve found your name on the admission list, the next step is to confirm your admission through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) CAPS system. This process is crucial to officially secure your spot.
Follow these steps to confirm:
- Log in to JAMB CAPS:
Access the JAMB CAPS portal by visiting their official website. - Accept or Reject the Admission:
After logging in, you’ll have the option to either accept or reject the admission offer. - Print Your Admission Letter:
Once accepted, visit the JAMB Admission Letter page to print your official letter of admission.
Next Step: Report for Clearance
If you’ve been successfully admitted, you are required to report to your designated faculty for clearance. Clearance will be conducted between 21st and 28th October 2024, and it’s essential to complete this process within the given timeframe.
Documents required for clearance:
- Original certificates of educational qualifications
- Original Local Government Indigene Certificate
- Original Birth Certificate or Statutory Declaration of Age
- Original and photocopy of UTME/DE slip
- Original O’ Level results (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB)
- Diploma/NCE/IJMB results (if applicable)
- Original copy of the online screening form
Checking Your Admission Status on the JAMB Portal
In addition to the ADSU list, you can also verify your admission status directly through the JAMB Admission Status portal. Here’s how:
- Visit the JAMB E-facility Portal.
- Log in with your Username and Password.
- Select “Check Admission Status”.
- Enter your Exam Year and Registration Number.
- Click “Check Admission Status” to see if you’ve been admitted.
This portal also offers other useful features, such as checking your CAPS status and accessing additional services.
