About the AE-FUNAI Pre-Degree & JUPEB Programmes
AE-FUNAI, through its Centre for Educational Services (CES), is accepting applications from qualified candidates into two major programmes:
1. Pre-Degree Programme
This is a full-year academic programme tailored to help candidates build a strong foundation for entry into 100-level undergraduate courses (except Medicine and Surgery). The programme spans two semesters and is meant for those who want to improve their chances of securing admission into AE-FUNAI.
2. JUPEB Programme
This one runs for 10 months and is more intensive. It offers direct entry admission into 200-level in AE-FUNAI or any of the over 75 Nigerian and foreign universities affiliated with the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB).

Eligibility Requirements
To be considered, applicants must:
- Have at least five credits, including English and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings.
- Applicants hoping to study Medicine and Surgery must get all relevant credits in a single sitting.

The fee is ₦15,000 only. This covers your online registration and processing.
Step-by-Step Application Guide
Here’s how to apply:
- Visit the official portal:
www.funai.edu.ng - Navigate to MENU or QUICKLINKS, then select ADMISSIONS.
- Click on 2025/2026 Pre-Degree & JUPEB Registration.
- Generate your Application Invoice.
- Create an account on the e-Portal, then generate your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR).
- Pay online or at any bank branch using your RRR.
- After payment, continue your registration and print out your completed form.
- Save a copy of the form by emailing it to yourself.
Application Deadline
The deadline to submit your online application is Friday, October 31, 2025, by 11:59 PM. Don’t wait till the last minute.
Important Notes for Applicants
- Only recent (not older than 3 months) passport photos with a white background will be accepted.
- Avoid using selfies or low-quality webcam pictures.
- Make sure your bio-data and documents are accurate—wrong entries will lead to disqualification without refund.
- Admission offers are issued only through official communication from AE-FUNAI CES.
