
NNPC/Chevron JV National University Scholarship 2025
Are you a second-year student in a Nigerian university studying a professional course? Then you might be eligible for the NNPC/Chevron Joint Venture scholarship for the 2025 academic year.
Chevron Nigeria Limited, in partnership with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), is offering this opportunity to support high-performing students pursuing undergraduate degrees in Nigerian universities.
This program is aimed at encouraging academic excellence across various fields of study.
Who Can Apply?
Applications are open to full-time 200-level students (those admitted in the 2023/2024 academic year) who are studying one of the following courses:
- Engineering Fields: Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Petroleum, Electrical/Electronics, Metallurgical & Materials
- Sciences: Geology, Geophysics, Computer Science, Environmental Studies, Agricultural Science
- Health & Medical Sciences: Human Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy
- Social Sciences & Arts: Law, Accountancy, Architecture, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Economics
To qualify, applicants must:
- Have a CGPA of at least 3.5 on a 5.0 scale.
- Possess a minimum of six O’level credits from one sitting.
Special Scholarship for Visually Impaired Students
There’s also a separate category for visually impaired students. Applicants in this category must:
- Be full-time 200-level students.
- Be studying any course at a Nigerian university.
- Have a minimum CGPA of 2.5 on a 5.0 scale.
- Have at least five O’level credits.
Important Things to Note
- You cannot apply for this scholarship if you’re already benefiting from another Chevron/NNPC or Agbami scholarship.
- Application is strictly for students admitted during the 2023/2024 academic session.
- There will be no computer-based test this year. Selections will be based on documents and academic merit.
- This application is completely free. Don’t pay anyone claiming to assist.
Required Documents
Make sure you have clean, clearly scanned copies of the following:
- Recent passport photograph (white background, not older than 6 months)
- School ID Card
- Admission Letter
- Birth Certificate
- WAEC/NECO Result
- JAMB Result
- Local Government of Origin Certificate
File Tips: Name each file clearly (e.g., “JAMB_Result.pdf”) to avoid mix-ups. Passport photo should be JPEG format and less than 200KB.
How to Apply
Ready to apply? Follow these steps carefully:
- Go to the application portal.
- Click “Apply Now” and register your account.
- Activate your account via your email.
- Return to the scholarship page using the same link and log in.
- Fill in your personal, academic, and identification details.
- Upload your documents.
- Preview and confirm your uploads to avoid errors.
- Once satisfied, go to “Active Scholarships”, select the Chevron scholarship, and hit “Apply Now.”
- You’ll receive an email and on-screen notification confirming your application.
- Download your profile summary and take it to your Head of Department for signature.
- Upload the signed document back to your profile.

Deadline
Applications close June 30, 2025. Don’t wait till the last minute. Late entries will not be accepted.

- All applications must be made online. No email or hard copy submissions.
- Chevron and NNPC do not work with agents.
