The UBTH Institute of Health Technology, in Benin City, is calling on qualified applicants to apply for various diploma and certificate programs.
These programs are designed to train students in hands-on medical and health-related fields that are in demand across Nigeria and beyond.
List of Available Programmes & Duration
Below are the courses currently offered, along with how long each program takes:
- Health Information Management
▪ ND: 2 years | HND: 2 years - Environmental Health Technology
▪ ND: 2 years | HND: 2 years - Ortho Cast Technology
▪ ND: 2 years - Dispensing Optics
▪ ND: 2 years - Biomedical Engineering Technology
▪ ND: 2 years | HND: 2 years - Community Health Officers Training Programme
▪ Duration: 1 to 2 years (For CHEW holders or B.Sc. candidates)
📌 Important Note: If you’re applying for an ND program, you must have participated in the 2025 JAMB/UTME and scored at least 150.
Entry Requirements
To qualify, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Have at least five credit passes in WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB, obtained in no more than two sittings.
- The required subjects include: English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.
- For Environmental Health Technology, candidates may use Health Science in place of Biology.
- Those applying for Biomedical Engineering Technology can boost their chances with a pass in Technical Drawing, Woodwork, Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, or Fine Art.
