The Al-Ma’arif College of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Sciences has opened applications for the 2025/2026 academic session.

From Sunday, June 1st to Saturday, August 31st, 2025, interested candidates can apply for various health-related programmes either online or directly at the college’s ICT or E-Library Units.

Available Programmes

Here’s a breakdown of the programmes you can apply for:

• Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW – Retrainee) – 2 Years
• Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW – Fresh) – 3 Years
• Junior Community Health Extension Worker (JCHEW) – 2 Years
• Medical Laboratory Technician – 3 Years
• Pharmacy Technician – 3 Years
• Health Information Management – 3 Years
• Dispensing Opticianry – 3 Years
• Orthopedic Cast Technology (ND) – 2 Years (via JAMB)
• ND in Community Health – 2 Years (via JAMB)

What You Need to Qualify

To apply, make sure you meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of five (5) O’Level credits in subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics — all from not more than two sittings in either WAEC or NECO. These can be combined.
• If you’re applying for the Medical Laboratory Technician or Orthopedic Cast Technology, you must have NABTEB — note that NABTEB results cannot be combined with WAEC or NECO.
• For those going for JCHEW, you’ll need:
  • Credits in English, Maths, and Biology
  • At least a pass in Chemistry and Physics

3. Pay a non-refundable fee of ₦11,000
4. Complete your application and submit all required details
