Lagos State University (LASU) Medical Screening Exercise For New Students 2025

Lagos State University (LASU) kicked off its 2024/2025 medical screening exercise on Monday, March 3rd, 2025—but there’s a bit of a hiccup.

Despite the clear announcement from the Directorate of Health Services, turnout has been surprisingly low. Many freshers have yet to show up for their compulsory medical screening, which is a crucial step in the admission process.

If you’re one of the newly admitted students and haven’t gone through this screening yet, you need to act fast.

Where and When Is the Screening Happening?

The screening is ongoing every weekday at the Outpatient Section (Old Building) of the LASU Health Centre. It’s a daily exercise, so students have ample opportunity to walk in and complete the process.

What You Need to Bring

Before you head over, make sure you have the following items ready:

• Two recent passport-sized photos
• A copy of the medical screening payment receipt
• Basic writing materials (pen and paper)

Note: The screening area is strictly for students only. Parents, friends, alumni, and even staff members are not permitted to accompany or wait with you inside the screening premises.

Why This Matters

Medical screening isn’t just a formality—it’s an important part of your registration. Skipping it could delay or even jeopardize your full clearance as a LASU student. So, don’t procrastinate.
