Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH) in Makurdi has announced the sale of admission forms for its 2025/2026 academic session into various nursing specialty programmes.

These programmes are designed to help qualified nurses deepen their skills and move into more focused areas of practice.

List of Available Programmes at BSUTH (2025 Intake)

The following specialty areas are open for admission:

• Nephrology Nursing – Duration: 12 months
• Ophthalmic Nursing – Duration: 12 months
• Mental Health / Psychiatric Nursing – Duration: 18 months

Each programme is structured to deliver in-depth training and hands-on experience in its respective field.

Admission Requirements: Who Can Apply?

Before applying, make sure you meet all the following conditions:

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid certificate.
• Hold a current practising license approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
• Possess at least five (5) credit passes in:
  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
• These credits must come from either WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB – and can be combined across no more than two sittings.
• WAEC/NECO combination is accepted.
• Must have completed at least one year of post-qualification work experience.
• If employed, a written permission letter showing your employer’s approval for full-time study is required.

How to Get the Admission Form

Interested applicants are to pick up the form directly from the Registrar’s Office at BSUTH, Makurdi Campus. Before you go, make sure you’ve made the payment.
