Simple Ways to Check Your 2025 JAMB UTME Result
If you sat for the 2025 JAMB UTME, you’re probably anxious to know when the results will drop.
Based on what happened last year, candidates can expect the 2025 results to be available starting Friday, May 16, 2025.
Why this date? Well, in 2024, JAMB released results roughly ten days after the final paper. Applying that same timeline to this year, May 16 looks like the day to watch.
Once the results go live, we’ll update this page immediately to guide you through the process.
How to Check Your 2025 JAMB Result
As soon as JAMB officially releases the results, you’ll have two main options to check yours:
1. Checking Your JAMB Result Through SMS
The simplest way is by using your mobile phone. Here’s what to do:
- Open your SMS app.
- Type UTMERESULT (no spaces, no extra words).
- Send it to either 55019 or 66019.
- Make sure you’re using the same phone number you used to register for JAMB.
Important:
- You need at least ₦50 airtime on your line before sending the message.
- Double-check the spelling: UTMERESULT — one word, no mistakes.
If everything goes well, you’ll get a text with your result details.
2. Checking Your JAMB Original Result Online
If you want the full breakdown or need the original printout for admission purposes, you’ll have to do it online. Here’s how:
- Visit the official JAMB eFacility Portal.
- Log in using your registered email address and password.
- Look for the option that says “Print Result Slip” and click it.
- Pay the required fee of ₦1,000 online.
- After payment, you can view and print your original result slip.
Why You Might Not See Your JAMB Result Immediately
Not everyone will get their results straight away. If you find yourself waiting, here are a few possible reasons:
1. Withheld Results
JAMB sometimes holds back results for candidates suspected of cheating or other forms of misconduct.
According to the JAMB Registrar, more than 60,000 results are usually flagged every year for review.
If you’re innocent, your result will eventually be released after investigations.
2. Results Released in Batches
JAMB often releases results in groups. So, if you don’t see yours immediately, give it a little time and try again later.
3. Incorrect SMS Format
If you don’t type the message exactly as instructed (UTMERESULT sent to 55019 or 66019), you won’t get a response. Even a small typo can mess things up.
4. Using the Wrong Phone Number
You must use the exact phone number you used when registering for JAMB. If you use a different one, the system won’t recognize you.
5. Network Issues
Sometimes network providers (MTN, Airtel, Glo, etc.) experience glitches. If your SMS doesn’t go through, wait a while and try sending it again, preferably during off-peak hours like late at night.
