JAMB Cut-Off Mark for UNIBEN – 2025 Admission Cycle

To be eligible for UNIBEN’s Post-UTME screening in 2025, you’ll need a minimum JAMB score of 200. That said, this number is just the starting line.

For more competitive programs like Medicine, Law, Engineering, or Pharmacy, anything below 250 might not cut it.

Pro Tip: Don’t settle for scraping the minimum. The higher your score, the stronger your application looks—especially for courses that are often flooded with applicants.

UTME Admission Criteria at UNIBEN

If you’re going through the UTME route, here’s what you’ll need to meet:

  • Institution Choice: UNIBEN must be listed as your first-choice institution in your JAMB form. If it’s not, you’ll have to change it via the JAMB portal.
  • Minimum Score: You’ll need at least 200, but again, higher is better for hot-demand programs.
  • O’Level Results: You must have at least five credit passes, including English and Maths, in not more than two sittings. For courses like Medicine or Law, one sitting is often preferred.
  • Age Limit: Applicants must be 16 years or older by the time they apply.
  • Post-UTME: Sitting for UNIBEN’s Post-UTME is non-negotiable. You have to register and take part in the screening exercise.

Direct Entry Requirements for UNIBEN

For those who already have advanced academic qualifications, UNIBEN also accepts Direct Entry candidates. Here’s what you need:

  • O’Level Credentials: Still a minimum of five credits, with English and Maths included, not spread over more than two sittings.
  • Accepted Qualifications: You’ll need one or more of these:
    • NCE (Nigeria Certificate in Education)
    • ND (National Diploma)
    • HND (Higher National Diploma)
    • IJMB
    • GCE A-Level or any recognized equivalent
  • Course Alignment: Your qualification must relate directly to the course you’re applying for.
  • Application Process: All Direct Entry candidates must fill out the JAMB Direct Entry form online.
  • Transcripts: In some cases, you may be required to submit your academic transcript from your previous school.

Final Tips for Prospective Students

  • Start Early: Don’t wait till the deadline. Register for JAMB and Post-UTME as soon as they open.
  • Check Departmental Requirements: Each course may come with its own special conditions or subject combinations. Always confirm via UNIBEN’s official website or contact the admissions office.
  • Stay Informed: Regularly check the school’s website and social platforms for news, dates, and updates regarding screening or document submissions.

If you meet all these requirements and prepare well, there’s a solid chance you’ll be celebrating your admission letter soon.

UNIBEN doesn’t just take anyone—it takes students who are ready and qualified. Make sure that’s you.
