The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has opened applications for its Remedial Science Programme for the 2025/2026 academic year.

This programme is specially designed for students who want to secure admission into science-related courses but may not have met the requirements just yet. It’s a chance to get back on track academically—and it starts with this form.

Who Should Apply?

This opportunity is ideal for students who have already attempted WAEC, NECO, GCE O’Level, or NABTEB, but didn’t quite meet the qualifications to gain direct admission into a science course.

Here’s what you need to be eligible:

• At least three credit passes in the following core science subjects:
  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology or Agricultural Science

These credits can be from one or two exam sittings—either way, you need them to proceed.

How Long Does the Programme Last?

The Remedial Science Programme spans one academic session, which is split into two semesters. During this period, you’ll go through intensive studies focused on science subjects to strengthen your foundation.

To move forward into a full science course at UNIABUJA, you must:

• Sit for the Remedial exams at the end of the programme
• Score the required mark in the UTME (JAMB)
• Apply for UNIABUJA’s Post-UTME after your UTME
• And most importantly—meet all university admission conditions

How to Apply for the UNIABUJA Remedial Programme

The cost of the application form is ₦10,000 (excluding any bank-related charges).

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you apply without confusion:

1. Head over to the UNIABUJA portal
2. Click on “Access Application”
3. Select Remedial Programme or go straight through this Remedial Application Link
4. Fill in your personal details:
   • Surname
   • First Name
   • Other Names
   • Email Address
   • Phone Number
5. Click Next to continue
6. On the payment page, click “Generate RRR”
7. Proceed to Remita by selecting “Make Payment”
8. Pay with your MasterCard or Visa Card
9. Once payment is successful, you’ll be sent back to the portal
10. Your Application Number will appear on screen and will also be sent to your phone via SMS
11. The system will log you out automatically
12. Log back in via the Main Login page
13. Use your Application Number and Surname to gain access
14. Complete the rest of your form and hit Submit

Things to Remember Before and After Applying

• Make sure you use a working email address and a valid phone number. You’ll be receiving updates through both.
• Don’t share your login credentials or RRR code with anyone—keep your application secure.
• Always check your inbox and SMS for updates from the school.
