The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has opened applications for its JUPEB programme for the 2025/2026 academic year.

If you’re looking to skip JAMB and head straight into 200 level at UNN or any other JUPEB-affiliated university, this might be your shot.

This programme leads to a JUPEB certificate, which is recognized by several Nigerian and international universities as a valid route for Direct Entry admission.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

To qualify for admission into the JUPEB programme:

• You must have a minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects.
• These credits must be obtained in no more than two sittings from any of the recognized exam bodies — WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, etc.
• English Language and Mathematics are compulsory.
• Your O’Level subjects must match the requirements for the course you plan to study at the university level.

Programme Duration

The JUPEB programme runs for one academic session, which is broken into two semesters.

During this time, students will be taught based on a university syllabus and will sit for the final JUPEB examination at the end of the session.

• Biology, Chemistry, Economics (BCE)
• Physics, Biology, Mathematics (PBM)
• Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics (CPM)
• Physics, Economics, Mathematics (PEM)

These combinations are accepted across all JUPEB-affiliated institutions both in Nigeria and abroad, so choosing the right one is essential.

How Much Is the Form?

The JUPEB application form is priced at ₦20,000, and payment must be made via Remita through any commercial bank.

How to Apply – Step-by-Step

1. Visit the UNN JUPEB portal:
   UNN JUPEB Portal
2. Generate an invoice:
   • Click on “Generate Payment Invoice” under the JUPEB section.
   • Enter your phone number.
   • Fill in your surname, first name, and middle name.
   • Print the invoice.
3. Make your payment at the bank using the Remita invoice.
4. Return to the portal to complete your application:
   • Click on the JUPEB form link.
   • Input your Remita number.
   • Upload a recent passport photo (white background, not older than 3 months, max size: 100KB).
   • Submit your form and print the acknowledgment slip.

Important Warnings

• Do not pay any individual or agent claiming to sell the form. UNN has not authorized anyone to sell forms on its behalf.
• Only use the official portal to apply.
• Be careful with your subject combination. A wrong choice could disqualify you from your desired course.
• Printed or downloaded application forms are not valid. All applications must be completed and submitted online.

After Applying

• Keep checking the UNN website and your email for updates.
• Once the JAMB Direct Entry form for 2026 is out, register immediately, as it’s a necessary step for full university admission after JUPEB.
