
NDDC Announces Foreign Postgraduate Scholarship For 2025/2026 – Apply Now
The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has launched its foreign postgraduate scholarship program for the 2025/2026 academic year.
This initiative is designed to support exceptional graduates from Niger Delta states, equipping them with advanced education and specialized skills to drive regional and national development.
Eligible Fields of Study
The scholarship is strictly available to applicants pursuing postgraduate degrees in the following disciplines:
- Agricultural Science
- Engineering
- Environmental Science
- Geosciences
- Information Technology
- Medical Sciences
- Law
- Architecture
Candidates must ensure their chosen field falls within these categories before applying.
Who Can Apply?
To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be an indigene of one of the Niger Delta states
- Hold a degree from a recognized university
- Possess a First Class, Second Class Upper, or Second Class Lower degree
- Be 40 years old or younger at the time of application
Selection Process
The NDDC employs a rigorous multi-stage selection procedure to ensure only the most qualified candidates are chosen. The process includes:
- Online Application Submission: Applicants must complete and submit their forms through the official NDDC portal.
- Shortlisting: Candidates will be screened based on their WASSCE results, degree classification, and Local Government Identification.
- Computer-Based Test: Shortlisted applicants will sit for a computer-based assessment in Rivers State.
- Minimum Test Score: A 70% pass mark is required to progress.
- Verification Process: Successful candidates will undergo verification at their Local Government and community levels.
- Final Selection: Only applicants who complete all stages will be considered for the scholarship.
What the Scholarship Covers
The scholarship package will cover tuition and other academic expenses, with the exact amount determined by the prevailing exchange rate at the time of disbursement.
