2025 JAMB Direct Entry Registration: Essential Instructions & Guidelines
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has opened the 2025 Direct Entry (DE) registration, offering a crucial pathway for individuals with advanced academic qualifications—such as diplomas, A-level certificates, or degrees—who wish to gain direct admission into university degree programs at higher levels.
This process is a game-changer for candidates looking to bypass the traditional UTME and secure direct admission into 200 level or higher in Nigerian universities.
However, to successfully navigate the registration, you must understand the eligibility requirements, accepted qualifications, and the proper application steps.
Who Is Eligible for JAMB Direct Entry?
Before starting the registration, applicants must ensure they meet the minimum academic qualifications set by JAMB. Below are the key eligibility criteria:
O’Level Requirement:
- Minimum of five (5) credit passes in SSCE (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) obtained in not more than two sittings.
- At least two of these credits must be in subjects relevant to the chosen course at the Advanced or Principal Level.
Advanced Level Qualifications:
Candidates must possess one of the following:
- A’Level Certificates with at least two passes in relevant subjects awarded by IJMB, JUPEB, Cambridge, or the Institute of Baccalaureate, along with three SSCE credit passes.
- National Certificate in Education (NCE) with credit passes in two major subjects plus three credit passes in SSCE, NTC, or NBC (for Education/Technical courses).
- National Diploma (ND), National Innovation Diploma (NID), or University Diploma with the required O’Level credits.
- All Advanced Level qualifications will undergo verification by a JAMB-appointed special committee. Any forged results will lead to prosecution.
