The University of Jos has announced that registration for newly admitted undergraduate students for the 2024/2025 academic session will commence on December 16, 2024, and conclude on January 11, 2025.

This guide provides a step-by-step process to complete your registration.

Pre-Registration Steps

1. Verify Admission Status

• Visit the UNIJOS Admission Status Portal.
• Select “Students’ Portal” and click “Check Admission”.
• Enter your JAMB Registration Number and click “Get Started” to view your status.
• Download or print a copy of the registration procedure for reference.
• If offered a course different from your initial choice, accept the new course on the JAMB CAPS platform.
• Ensure your SSCE results are uploaded on the JAMB portal to process your admission letter.

2. Pay Pre-Registration Fees

• Log in to the UNIJOS Students’ Portal using your email and password from the Post-UTME registration.
• Navigate to “Fee Management” and select “Acceptance (Pre-Registration)” from the drop-down menu.
• Follow the prompts to complete the payment.

3. Complete Bio-Data Information

• Access the portal and go to “My Profile” > “Add/Edit Bio-Data”.
• Fill in all required details and print five copies of the completed form.

Registration Process

1. Clearance with Senate Affairs

Submit the following documents to the Central Registration Officer at your faculty’s registration centre:

• Original and photocopies of credentials.
• Five copies of the completed Bio-Data form.
• JAMB registration slip.
• Birth certificate or sworn age declaration.
• Indigene certificate or Federal High Court affidavit.
• WAEC/NECO/NABTEB scratch cards.
• Affidavit of good conduct and non-membership of secret cults.

2. Payment of School Charges

• Log in to the Students’ Portal and go to “Fee Management” > “Pay School Charges”.
• Follow the instructions to complete payment.
• Payments made through bank branches may take 24 hours to reflect on the portal.
• Once updated, you will receive your matriculation number and university email within 24 hours.

3. Course Registration

• Access the portal and select “Course Registration”.
• Choose your courses for the session and print the course registration form.
• Get the form signed by your level coordinator for approval.

4. Departmental and Faculty Registration

Submit these items to your department’s Registration Officer:

• • Clearance documents from faculty and central registration.
  • Copies of all previously submitted documents.
  • School charges receipt for verification and stamping by the Faculty Finance Officer.
  • Print five copies of your signed course registration form and distribute them accordingly.
