NUC Approves 24 New Courses For Bingham University

Bingham University has achieved a significant milestone as the National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved all 24 academic programmes presented for resource verification.

This development signals a new chapter in the institution’s commitment to academic excellence.

The approval encompasses six undergraduate and 18 postgraduate programmes, following a meticulous resource verification exercise conducted by the NUC between November and December 2024.

Launch of New Programmes for the 2024/2025 Academic Year

The postgraduate programmes approved for the upcoming academic session are:

• Ph.D. Architecture
• M.Sc. and Ph.D. Computer Science
• PGD, M.Sc., and Ph.D. Mathematics
• PGD, M.Sc., and Ph.D. Physics
• PGD, M.Sc., and Ph.D. Political Science
• PGD, M.Sc., and Ph.D. Sociology
• PGD, M.Sc. Entrepreneurship, and Masters in Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Details of NUC Approval

The NUC’s endorsement was conveyed in a formal letter signed by Abubakar M. Gire, the Acting Director of Academic Planning for Programme Accreditation.

The letter, addressed to Bingham University’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Haruna Kuje Ayuba, confirmed the approval of all proposed programmes.
