Admission Requirements

To qualify for admission, candidates must meet the following criteria:

1. General Requirements:
   • A minimum of five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, at O Level in no more than two sittings.
2. Doctorate Programme:
   • Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Petroleum and Energy Economics or an equivalent qualification.
3. Masters Programme:
   • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least a Second Class Lower Division or equivalent from a recognised institution.
   • A Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Petroleum and Energy Economics may also be considered.
4. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD):
   • A minimum of a Third Class Bachelor’s degree or a Higher National Diploma (HND) with Lower Credit or equivalent is required.
5. National Youth Service Corps (NYSC):
   • All applicants must provide an NYSC discharge certificate or an exemption letter.

Programme Duration

The duration of each programme varies based on the mode of study:

Professional Doctorate Degree

• Full-Time: Minimum of 36 months
• Part-Time: Minimum of 42 months

Masters and MSc Degrees

• Full-Time: Minimum of three semesters, maximum of six semesters
• Part-Time: Minimum of six semesters, maximum of eight semesters

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

• Full-Time: Minimum of two semesters, maximum of four semesters
• Part-Time: Minimum of four semesters, maximum of six semesters
