Gombe State University (GSU) Post UTME & Direct Entry Application Form 2024/2025

Gombe State University (GSU) has begun accepting online applications for its Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening for the 2024/2025 academic year. This screening process is essential for candidates aiming to join GSU’s degree programs.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the GSU Post-UTME screening, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

  • GSU as First Choice: Applicants must have selected GSU as their primary choice on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portal.
  • Minimum JAMB Scores: Candidates need to meet the score thresholds for their desired programs.

JAMB Score Requirements by Program

  • Sciences, Education, Arts & Social Sciences: 150 points
  • Nursing Science: 180 points
  • Computer Science: 170 points
  • Medicine, Pharmacy, and Law: 200 points

Note: Applicants interested in Medicine or Pharmacy but who scored below 200 are advised to consider related programs, such as B.Sc. Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or Nursing.

Direct Entry Requirements

Direct Entry applicants must possess one of the following qualifications in the same field as their intended course:

  • National Certificate in Education (NCE)
  • JAMB Advanced Level GCE
  • Diploma

Screening Fee and Registration Instructions

The non-refundable screening fee is set at ₦2,000, payable through GSU’s online screening portal. Here’s a step-by-step guide to completing the registration:

  1. Visit GSU’s Admission Portal: Navigate to the official GSU admissions page.
  2. Enter JAMB Registration Details: Input your JAMB registration number and click on Get Details.
  3. Payment: Pay the screening fee using one of the available methods (ATM/Debit/Credit Card, Bank Transfer, USSD, or Visa QR).
  4. Complete the Registration Form: After payment, fill out the required details to set up a UTME/DE screening account and click on Register.
  5. Generate Data Form: Review your information, then select Generate Data Form to download your registration form.

Documents for Screening Day

After registering, candidates will receive a PDF with two essential pages:

  • Page 1: Registration details
  • Page 2: Post-UTME Test (CBT) Exams Card

Important: Print both pages and attach photocopies of your credentials to Page 1. Bring these documents, along with the originals, on the scheduled physical screening date. Specific screening dates will be provided during registration.

This registration process is a key step toward securing a spot at GSU, so candidates should follow each step carefully.
